Team agreement
Last updated: 2026-07-23
This is an internal agreement for members of the The Jewish Activist team who are given a sign-in to help run this site. It sits alongside our team conduct policy and explains, in plain terms, how responsibility works. It is not a public-facing document — visitors and supporters are covered by the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. Acting on behalf of The Jewish Activist
When you publish a campaign, send an alert, or contact anyone using your team sign-in, you are acting for The Jewish Activist, not in a personal capacity. Make sure what you publish is lawful, accurate, fact-based and not defamatory, and that it follows our Acceptable Use Policy. GPS Network is the data controller for the supporter and member data the site holds.
2. Looking after data
- Only access supporter and member data you need for your role, and only use it for the purposes people signed up for.
- Treat special-category data — such as whether a member is Jewish or a non-Jewish ally — and the contents and membership of our WhatsApp community as confidential.
- Help us answer access, correction and erasure requests promptly (see the data rights page).
- Report any suspected data breach to office@gpsnet.org straight away so we can assess it within 72 hours.
3. Account security
Keep your sign-in private and don't share it. Use a unique, strong password. Don't try to get around rate limits or other safety controls, and raise any security concern with office@gpsnet.org.
4. Getting advice when it's needed
Nothing on this site is legal advice. If a campaign might touch on defamation, harassment, or election-period campaigning rules, check with the rest of the team before publishing and take proper advice where needed.
5. Changes
We'll update this agreement when something material changes. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
6. Contact
Questions about this agreement go to office@gpsnet.org.
