Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. The Jewish Activist uses only a few cookies: the ones strictly necessary to make the site work, plus one optional preference cookie that, if you keep it switched on, remembers your details on your own device to save you re-typing them. We don't use any tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies, so there's no cookie banner to click through.
The cookies we set

cm_me | On MP / councillor lookup campaigns, if you leave the (default-on) "Remember my email and postcode on this device" box ticked, this saves your name, postcode and email address so the form is pre-filled and your representative is looked up next time. It is stored on your device only — never on our servers, and it never holds your full postal address. Our analytics are cookieless
We measure how the site is used in a privacy-friendly way: first-party only, without cookies and without sending anything to third parties. We don't use Google Analytics or any similar service.
What we DON'T set
- No advertising cookies.
- No cross-site or third-party tracking cookies.
- No social-media share-button cookies (the share buttons are plain links).
Managing cookies
You can clear cookies in your browser settings at any time, but if you clear cm_session while signed in to the admin you will be signed out. To clear just the saved supporter details in cm_me, use the "Not you?" link on the campaign form.
